RATE £450 per day + travel / expenses

INTRO

V Selective are recruiting on behalf of an Ofqual recognised Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). As an organisation they are committed to quality, and deliver a rigorous apprenticeship end point assessment service. Their service helps to ensure that apprentices, working within a range of industries, are able to do the job they are trained for. Key industries they support include Gas, Power, Water, and Nuclear.

STANDARD

They currently require End Point Assessors for the Water Industry Treatment Process Technician standard to join their bank of Independent End Point Assessors.

Water treatment process technicians work in the water industry. They work for clean water or wastewater (sewerage) treatment companies regulated by OFWAT – Office of Water Services (UK government). Technicians typically work in only one type of treatment stream.

This is a core and option apprenticeship. Apprentices will be trained and assessed against the core and one option. There are two options: Option 1. Water treatment process technician and Option 2. Wastewater treatment process technician – we required EPAs who can cover at least one.

THE ROLE

This work is carried out on an ad-hoc / as required basis, depending on your availability and the availability of the Apprentices (when they are ready for EPA).  Work will be booked in / agreed in advance and is something you can do on top of your main employment (with the permission of your current employer) or alongside other flexible or freelance roles.

The role is offered on a generous Zero Hours Contract (taxed at source), which includes pension contributions. The hours available vary dependent on demand, and registered EPAs always have a choice to accept assignments based on their availability.

The role will be home-based with travel to conduct assessments.

Upon taking assignments from the Service Delivery team, you will deliver end-point assessment for the relevant apprenticeship standard and assessment method you are approved for.

You will undertake (remotely or directly) end point assessment activities (which may include practical observations and technical interviews), awarding a preliminary grade and ensuring that all assessment decisions are fair, objective, free of bias and based on all relevant evidence presented.

You will accurately record the outcomes of all end point assessment activity using assessment material submitting these records within required timescales.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Applicants must be currently working in the industry and be occupationally competent in the the Water treatment process sector wokring in one of the following roles – Water treatment process technician or Wastewater treatment process technician.

A recognised assessor qualification would be great, but is not essential. The employer will help you to acheive this.
