V Selective are recruiting for a North West based, Government funded Training Provider Organisation, who provide Transport and Logistics related Training to some of the UK’s largest brands. This organisation delivers Apprenticeships, Bootcamps, and various courses including Forklift Truck (FLT) training, LGV Licence Training and Driver CPCD.

As part of onging growth, the organisation is looking to recruit an E-Learning Designer  – working remotely.

As a Digital / E-Learning Designer you willl provide specialised expertise and support in the design and development of digital learning experiences. This will be achieved by creating engaging, interactive, and effective e-learning content.

This a 100% Remote based role, with some (minimal) requirement to attend occasional meetings in Manchester.

DIGITAL LEARNING DESIGNER – CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • A good level of education, with relevant experience of digital learning design
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles and e-learning content development tools.
  • Strong knowledge of blended learning best practices.
  • Experience with learning management systems and virtual learning environments.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Experience in developing online learning resources, including interactive software, video, multimedia.
  • Experience/ability in researching and introducing innovative digital tools to embed in learning.
  • Exceptional IT developer skills.
  • Very high attention to detail and high standard of accuracy.
  • Project management experience (desirable).

THE ROLE

  • Instructional Design Expertise: Analyse learning objectives, target audience characteristics, and content requirements to create effective learning experiences. Apply instructional strategies, learning theories, and best practices to ensure that the content is organized, structured, and presented in a learner-centric manner.
  • Multimedia Development: Utilising a range of tools and software to create interactive and visually appealing content, including graphics, animations, videos, simulations, and interactive assessments.
  • Content Authoring and Storyboarding: Creating storyboards or prototypes to visualize the flow and structure of the e-learning modules, ensuring that the content is logically sequenced and effectively communicates key concepts. Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather content and transform it into engaging and interactive learning materials.
  • Technology Integration: Leveraging learning management systems, authoring tools, and other software to develop and deliver e-learning content. Keeping up to date with the latest technological advancements in the e-learning industry to incorporate innovative features and functionalities into the learning experiences created.
  • User Experience Design: Prioritising user experience to create intuitive and user-friendly e-learning interfaces. Designing navigation systems, user interfaces, and interactive elements to ensure seamless and engaging learner interactions. Conducting user testing and feedback gathering to continuously improve the user experience and enhance learner engagement.
  • Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborating closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and stakeholders. Managing projects, timelines, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality digital learning materials.
