We have an excllent opportunity for a Quality Advisor to join a quality focused Apprenticeship Training Provider organisation. This is a new role in the Quality Team to provide additional support to new coaches that have now joined the company due to growth.

This is a Remote based role.

As an Apprenticeships Quality Advisor you will conduct a programme of quality monitoring and deep dive activities to support ongoing continuous improvements that lead to exceptional learner results and experience.

This pivotal role will support above market average QAR and distinction rates as well as ensuring the apprenticeship provision meets regulatory standards.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential:

  • Significant and recent experience of apprenticeship delivery
  • Vast experience in a quality improvement/assurance role
  • In-depth understanding of apprenticeship delivery methodologies and funding requirements in a FE environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework
  • Skilled in designing and implementing robust staff training programmes
  • Experience of developing and training staff on the effective use of on-line portfolios
  • Teaching qualification
  • Assessor and verifier qualification
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and team working
  • Capable independent worker
  • Able to work in an organised and methodical manner
  • Pleasant and helpful approach at all times
  • Work in a professional and confidential manner with a high degree of integrity
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of staff and learners
  • Level 2 in English and maths as a minimum

Desirable:

  • Mentoring/Coaching experience
  • Management qualification
  • Formal/external OTLA and Ofsted Training

THE ROLE

  • Lead quality monitoring activities such as sampling, deep dive reviews, OTLA’s, programme reviews and stakeholder forums to assess standards and satisfaction levels.
  • Be responsible for the ongoing support and development of specific Specialist Coaches, coaching, mentoring and guiding their improvements to ensure first class service to apprentices.
  • Work with leaders and managers to conduct quality monitoring and evaluation activities across apprenticeship programmes, accurately evaluating programme performance and designing robust action plans to support timely achievements as required.
  • Conduct deep dive activities to conduct root cause analysis and form evidenced based judgements on the quality of education.
  • Conducting monthly sampling across the learner journey, ensuring high quality evidence of apprentice’s developing new skills, knowledge and behaviours, reporting on trends and contributing to Specialist Coach performance reviews.
  • Create Specialist Coach development plans and support the continuous professional development of each Coach to ensure they achieve excellence.
  • Plan and deliver bespoke support, training and improvement programmes to the operational team, addressing areas for improvement and ensuring learner outcomes and experience improves.
  • Conduct periodic OTLA’s on the Specialist Coaches to ensure high delivery standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Conduct quarterly learner forums for each apprenticeship programme to assess learner experience and understanding around their progress.
  • Maintain and use professional and specialist knowledge of apprenticeship delivery requirements to support ongoing quality improvements, advising the business as required.
  • Support the monitoring and development of Aptem, providing training to Coaches as required to improve system usage.
  • Conduct specific quality reviews on key accounts, working closely with external stakeholders to improve engagement, retention and overall satisfaction.
  • Support the progress of actions set within the Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Actively contribute towards the Self Assessment Report with accurate, evidenced based judgements against the EIF.
  • Produce monthly reports that show outcomes and progress made with e-portfolio quality, quality of delivery, learner experience and QIP actions.
