INTRO

Our client is a specilaist Creative College / Training Organisation in East London. They are currently seeking an Software Development Tutor to work 25.5 hours per week over 4 days.

We will comsider both qualified and unqualified teachers …. however all appliants require a good understanding of Django/Python Language, HTML, CSS , Java Script and SQL.

This is a permanent part-time position.

Salary for bracket for a Qualified Teacher FTE is from £33,000 to £42,000 depending on experience (with actual salary for 4 days from £24,000 – £30,600)

Salary bracket for an Unqualified Teacher FTE is £28,000 (actual salary for days £20,400)

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Good understanding of Django/Python Language, HTML, CSS & Java Script
  • Experienced in SQL and relational database, legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Design documentation & repository (GitHub)
  • Computer engineering (Hardware & Software) and networking
  • Information analysis, understand business needs & requirements and derive the best system solution
  • We welcome industry professionals who wish to enter teaching, via the fully funded Taking Teaching
    Further scheme’s qualification. This is 6 months of reduced timetable for training whilst receiving full
    pay and lesson cover.
  • Extremely organised and able to manage your own workload effectively and flexibly
  • Assertive and confident in learning environment management
  • Ambitious and committed to meeting targets, setting standards of behaviour and work
  • Empathy towards the many challenges faced by young adults
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Visual scripting/programming skills

THE ROLE

  • Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and
    interests
  • Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding (CPOMS)
  • Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS
  • Track learner progression on the allocated Google Sheet
  • Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations
  • Use a range of assessment methods and provide outstanding and prompt feedback to inspire
    learners
  • Complete learner one-to-one tutorials and individual learning plans on a bi-termly basis
  • Facilitate the wide-range of enrichment trips and guest speaker events arranged across the year
  • Work towards a stable learner retention and qualification achievement rate
  • Undertake in-house training to remain up-to-date with awarding body expectations
  • Support learners to prepare for their assessed end-of-year project
