Overview

We are recruiting a Learner Engagement Officer for an award winning Training Provider Organisation .

The Learner Engagement Officer will be responsible for identifying potential learners through proactive community and stakeholder engagement, promoting the company and the services delivered to engage individuals to enrol onto various employability related training programmes.

We are ideally seeking someone with experience within a similar Learner Engagement role in the Training or FE sectors.

The role is based from Derby, with some travel around the East Midlands…

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of learner referrals network to include all local stakeholders
  • Promotion of services to all relevant stakeholders
  • Interview all potential learners
  • Create and maintain learner and stakeholder databases
  • Maintain regular contact with learners and local stakeholders
  • Achieve monthly start, placement and progression targets as per delivery profiles
  • Support learners to secure work experience placements and manage customer attendance on work placements.
  • Conduct work placement risk assessment
  • Attendance at all relevant networking meetings
  • Accurate completion of recruitment paper work as the initial part of the funding administration process
  • Liaise and communicate with other team members to ensure learner progress
  • Registering new learners, managing online advertising, and updating the vacancy management system
  • Development/maintenance of relationship with employers to ensure learner progress
  • Act as the local Safeguarding Representative, ensure company procedures are adhered to

  • Expert communicator both written and verbally

  • Sensitive to the needs of learners, young people and vulnerable members of society
  • Ability to travel around East Midlands
  • Professional demeanor
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Resilient and able to seek new business opportunities
  • Organised and punctual
  • Able to work as an integral team member
  • Able to deliver work at a high standard
  • Safeguarding Level 2 training (desirable)
  • IAG Level 3 qualification (preferred)
